ABOUT ME

My name is Zack Rassman. I am a self-proclaimed filmmaker. For years, I have been writing and directing many of my own productions; including an ongoing web series titled Open Lobby in which I write, direct, produce, edit and score the music for every episode.

I started my filmmaking journey on YouTube, inspired to create video game content in which I captured footage of myself playing said video games to no audience of my own. Then, I was inspired to try my hand at stop-motion animation. I would work for serval hours on a simple two minute short just for my own amusement.

However, the countless hours spent in my bedroom hacking away at these projects wasn’t a waste of time. With each short, I was slowly beginning to understand the concept of storytelling and developing my skills as a filmmaker. I would later purchase my first DSLR camera and begin making immature short films with my friends from high school.

After high school, I enrolled into university and this is where I truly started taking a professional approach to my work. And now that I’ve graduated from university, I’m ready to see what’s next in store for my filmmaking journey.
